www.forumtranslations.com is the website of FORUM VILLALBA S.L. a company based in Madrid specialising in the translation of technical documents from English into Spanish and technical interpretations.

As a company we strive to provide our clients with the best we can deliver.   • Determined criteria and methods for ensuring maximum efficiency of the processes, reducing cost to us and to our customers.

  • Follow-up, measure and analyse the results of our translations and processes.
  • Implement necessary actions to reach planned results and to continually improve all our processes.

Scope

The ISO 9001:2000 certificatation is specifically awarded for the translation of written texts, covering:

  • Non Certified Translations: those not requiring the certificate of a sworn translator.
  • Certified Translations: those certified or sworn by a Certified Translator

Certified Translations

Certified translations or sworn translations are translations undertaken by a Certified Translator who has been duly authorised by the Spanish Foreign Ministry (Ministerio Español de Asuntos Exteriores) to act as a Notary, swearing a public oath to the veracity of the translated document. All certified translations are delivered with the seal and signature of the Certified Translator.

A Spanish Certified Translator is a translator duly authorised by the Spanish Foreign Ministry to translate from Spanish into English or from English into Spanish official documents that may need to be produced before Public Administrations, Courts and Universities such as affidavits, marriage certificates, legal rulings, official diplomas or titles.

Certified translations are guaranteed against mistakes and cannot be in any way modified by the client. In this case the client cannot make any suggestions as regards to terminology or vocabulary used in the translated document.

Our Translations Standards

All translations produced by FORUM VILLALBA are carried out by qualified translators and who follow the following company standards:

  • The translator shall undertake all translations manually and shall refrain from using automated translation software.
  • The translator may use supporting tools such as dictionaries, glosasries, internet and word processors and realted software.
  • All clients requirements regarding vocabulary and terminolgy shall be prioritized except in the case of a certified translation in which case all terminology and vocabulary used in the translated document will be the sole competence of the certified translatior.

Revision

All our translations are revised prior to delivering them to the client. The translator revising the document must be different to the person who did the translation in the first place.
Revsion comprises checking the following points:

  • That the content of the original document has been fully translated and that the format of the original document is maintained whenever possible.
  • Translation is proofread to ensure it sounds correct, that the vocaulary and terminology used are correct and that it corresponds with the original text.
  • In case of a Certified Translation, we ensure it bears the sworn translator’s seal and signature.

Translations will be delivered to clients by any of the following ways:

  • Via e-mail
  • In person
  • By mail
