Certified translations or sworn translations are translations undertaken by a Certified Translator who has been duly authorised by the Spanish Foreign Ministry (Ministerio Español de Asuntos Exteriores) to act as a Notary, swearing a public oath to the veracity of the translated document. All certified translations are delivered with the seal and signature of the Certified Translator.
A Spanish Certified Translator is a translator duly authorised by the Spanish Foreign Ministry to translate from Spanish into English or from English into Spanish official documents that may need to be produced before Public Administrations, Courts and Universities such as affidavits, marriage certificates, legal rulings, official diplomas or titles.
Certified translations are guaranteed against mistakes and cannot be in any way modified by the client. In this case the client cannot make any suggestions as regards to terminology or vocabulary used in the translated document.
